SoCal Tour 2025
Dear Music Families,

We are thrilled to share that the countdown is on for our Southern California Music Tour! Our students have been working hard individually, will put things together in our next two large group rehearsals, and soon they’ll embark on an unforgettable adventure filled with music, learning, and fun.

This year’s trip is especially exciting because it’s a multi-school event, bringing together students from several programs across our district. Together, they’ll represent our schools as one united ensemble, showcasing their talent and teamwork on a truly special stage — Disneyland!

TRIP RULES
Traveling with Instrumental Music is a privilege, not a necessity. Any students who wish to travel must have maintained a 2.0 GPA and be passing all of their classes prior to departure. Students who have been suspended from school (either in-school suspension or sent home) in the 2025-26 school year will be prohibited from traveling.
-
Hotel: Students are allowed only in their own rooms. At lights out, no students are to be out of their rooms. Hotel phones are not for student use.
-
Bus: Students must follow the rules as indicated by the bus driver.
-
Travel: Students are expected to stay in groups of at least two at all times. Always have a buddy! Be on time for all meetings and activities. If you’re not 15 minutes early, you’re late!

CAVEAT EMPTOR
All students are expected to behave as representatives of AUHSD. Trip and school rules, including those applying to dress code, weapons, drugs, alcohol, and fighting will be strictly enforced. Any student found to be in violation of those rules at any time may result in being sent home at his or her parents’ expense or being suspended from activities with administrative supervision. Deviating from the final itinerary will also not be tolerated. Students on the tour are expected to stay with AUHSD students and check in with their chaperones at appropriate times. Decisions regarding consequence will be made at the director’s discretion. Any issue with any of the guidelines listed above or will result in disciplinary measures, including being sent home at parent’s expense.
We are proud of our young musicians and grateful for your continued support of our district’s music programs. Opportunities like this are possible because of your encouragement and belief in the power of music education.

We can’t wait to perform at Disneyland, explore UCLA, and share this incredible experience with our amazing students!
