District Strings Festival: A Night That Said It All

Wednesday night's District Strings Festival at Stanley Gym showcased the full arc of the district's strings program, with performances from Combined Elementary Strings, Stanley Strings Intermezzo, Stanley String Orchestra, and Acalanes Orchestra.

Two Acalanes seniors gave short speeches about what being in orchestra from 5th grade through 12th grade has meant to them. Then the Acalanes Orchestra closed out the night, and they sounded amazing. A powerful reminder of what kids can achieve when they stick with something, and for the younger students in the audience, a glimpse of where the journey can take them.
