The Acalanes String Orchestra earned a Unanimous Superior rating at the Homestead Orchestra Festival. Incredible work by the students and a testament to Edwin Cordoba's dedication to them.

Wednesday night's District Strings Festival at Stanley Gym showcased the full arc of the district's strings program, with performances from Combined Elementary Strings, Stanley Strings Intermezzo, Stanley String Orchestra, and Acalanes Orchestra. The Acalanes Instrumental Winter Concert featured band and orchestra students performing a festive holiday program in a polished, energetic evening of music.

Over Veterans Day weekend, student musicians from Acalanes, Las Lomas, and Campolindo traveled to Southern California for four days of music and exploration. The Band (woodwinds and brass) and Orchestra (strings) each performed on Disney’s Hollywood Backlot Stage and spent time together at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, plus an evening at Universal CityWalk and Moulin Rouge!
